Family in the persian civilization







INTRODUCTION

The Persians belonged to groups that had been established centuries ago in the Iranian plateau, and inhabiting the current Fars Province (Iran), a region of traditional influence Elamite. We spent so prominent ranching, but over time they were taking agriculture . The Persians were a group of people attached to the Aryans, a set of nomadic tribes whose original location was probably in the plains of southern Russia and Ukraine.



THE FAMILY AND THE MARRIAGE

The social or family life, marriage customs and property laws are very similar to those of Babylon. The family was the basic unit of society. The marriages were arranged by parents and betrothal were recognized legally as soon as the boyfriend had a nuptial gift to the father of the bride, the marriage ceremony concluded with a contract normally inscribed on a tablet. Although marriage is considered primarily a practical agreement, there is evidence to suggest that they were not completely unknown clandestine premarital relations. The Persian women had some important civil rights. He could own property, do business and act as a witness in a trial. However, the husband could divorce her on trivial issues or, if they had children, could marry another mujer.


THE SOCIETY

The persian society is socially divided on the emperor and his family, courtiers, servants, soldiers, workers, slave society was divided into different levels, according to their privileges and occupations.The senior class was composed of nobles. Inside it was very important priests and wizards. Run worship and political advisers were kings and governors of provinces. It could administer justice based on the lex talionis. Among the nobles were more important that belonged to the family aqueménida. The king was forced to choose between wife women in this familia.La bottom layer of society formed the traders, artisans and peasants. For decoration used enamelled bricks of different colors, which combined make up friezes. It represented, in relief, parades of soldiers, animal figures and scenes of payments of taxes. As for the funerary architecture, tombs and monuments were designed simpler than the Egyptians. Some of them were created by excavation of the rocky slopes of the mountains. In its interior were only a hall and a room without paintings or sculptures.
